Overview

Ellis International Services specializes in providing rigorous, unbiased, and independent, market value appraisals (fair market valuations) of mineral properties.  These include mineral exploration and development tracts to operating mines and quarries, and mineral rights and royalty interests. We can appraise the value of a mineral ownership, a partial interest, or a lessor or lessee’s rights.

Our appraisal services are provided for market valuation of properties involving all mineral commodities, such as precious and base metals, industrial minerals, uranium, coal, oil shale, aggregate and dimension stone. However, we only appraise the value of a conventional oil and natural gas interest if it is intertwined with another mineral interest that is the primary subject of our valuation.

We provide our services throughout the USA and the world, subject to legal and regulatory restrictions. We occasionally appraise the value of a mineral property in one country for a regulatory filing purpose in another country. Our valuation reports are developed in accordance with the relevant national or international standards.

Appraisal Services

Market Value Appraisal – Our specialization is the development of market valuation reports for mineral properties, mines and quarries. Mr. Ellis is recognized as a world leader in refining transaction analysis and transaction adjustment methods, advancing the employment of the Market (Sales Comparison) Approach in mineral property valuations. We also apply market-based Income or Cost Approach methods when appropriate.

Expert Witness – Through our minerals appraisal skills and diverse range of minerals industry knowledge and experience, we provide substantial advice and assistance to clients involved in legal disputes. Litigation cases often settle shortly after we deliver our fact-based report or Mr. Ellis is deposed.

Supporting Services – We provide services that supplement or enhance our mineral property appraisal service. These include geological review, mineral product market analysis, mineral deposit economic evaluation, mineral resource review and estimation, and appraisal of surface real estate, including improvements and water rights.
