For 28 years, Ellis International Services has served the mining industry as a consulting firm for geological evaluations, mineral economics, minerals appraisal, mine valuation, and environmental studies. For the 21st Century, Ellis International Services has focused on bringing together its accumulated, wide ranging experience as a world leading provider of independent market value appraisals (fair market valuations) for the mining industry. Its reports are developed to current international or USA standards for Resource and Reserve classification, minerals valuation, and professional appraisal practice. Independent mineral appraiser and mine valuer services of Ellis International Services have been employed for mineral properties and mines involving most metallic mineral commodities, such as gold, silver, platinum, copper, and zinc. A large percentage of Ellis International Services' independent mine and quarry appraiser work is for industrial minerals, construction rock, and specialty metals, particularly for construction aggregate quarries for crushed stone, sand and gravel. Mr. Trevor Ellis is a Certified Minerals Appraiser (AIMA), a Certified Professional Geologist (AIPG), a Fellow and Chartered Professional Geologist of The AusIMM, a licensed Certified General Appraiser (Colorado), and is registered or licensed as a professional geologist in the USA in a number of states. His Masters Degree in Mineral Economics is from the Colorado School of Mines and Bachelors Degree in Geology is from The University of Melbourne. More: Qualifications
Since 1995, Mr. Ellis has specialized in market value appraisal of mineral properties, mines and quarries. Mr. Ellis has 38 years of professional mining industry experience, which has ranged from conducting grass roots exploration for minerals in remote parts of the world, to developing acquisition studies of mines and mining companies. Specific areas of experience include reserve delineation and estimation, market studies, investment analysis, bid determination, mine planning and feasibility studies, environmental remediation evaluation, mine valuation and damage assessment. Since 2001, Mr. Ellis has been the international leader of standards development for valuation appraisals within the minerals and petroleum (oil and gas) industries. His numerous professional papers on mineral property and business value appraisal, and associated minerals appraisal standards (extractive industries valuation standards) and regulations are well recognized internationally. He is a frequently invited speaker nationally and internationally on minerals and petroleum industry valuation standards, and other minerals industry topics. Mr. Ellis is the Past-Chairman and founder of the Extractive Industries Expert Group of the International Valuation Standards Committee, now the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC). The extractive industries valuation standards developed by the Expert Group for valuation of minerals and petroleum industry assets were first published in 2005 in the Seventh Edition of the International Valuation Standards. The Expert Group later drafted best practice valuation guidelines to supplement the standards. In March 2011, the best practice guidelines were adopted by the American Institute of Minerals Appraisers. More: Experience
